On 21 May 1904, the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) was founded in Paris , France by representatives from seven European countries consisting of France, Belgium, Denmark, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. The idea of bringing the world's strongest national football teams together to compete for the title of World Champions led to the organisation of the FIFA World CupTM.

With a very limited edition of only 500 sets for distribution in Thailand, the coin set features one gold coin and two silver coins. Each obverse shows a meaningful design in relation to the issuing country and/or FIFA, while each reverse shares a common, strong reference to football.
